Live blog: #3 Iowa City West defeats #5 C.R. Prairie, 38-26

Feb. 14, 2012 3:42 am
We are at Cedar Rapids Prairie again for a second top-10 dual in as many weeks. No. 3 Iowa City West comes in to face #5 Cedar Rapids Prairie and Cedar Rapids Washington.
The MVC Valley Division title is at stake. West and Prairie are both 9-0 in the MVC. The Trojans are 24-2 overall, while Prairie is 23-5.
The Hawks topped Linn-Mar, 26-24, last week in a thrilling dual that wasn't decided until the final minute of the final match.
One of the most exciting duals I've ever seen was between West and Prairie in 2006. Prairie beat West in the final match, getting a pin from Mickey Sprague in the final match. The hero of the dual was Andrew Ragusi, called "Mullet" by his teammates, who scored a big decision over james Teel to set up the winning pin.
By the way, Washington is 9-6 overall and 6-3 MVC Mississippi Division.

Pelfrey throws Schulte in the last 10 seconds of second and gets the fall as time runs out. Ref consults scorers table and says if they're not sure if its in time then its a fall.
