CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - A pair of former all-Americans, softball standout Lori Tesar Moss ‘96 and men's soccer player Alen Kudumovic ‘03, will be inducted into the Mount Mercy Athletics Hall of Fame on Saturday as part of the University's Alumni Games festivities.
Moss, from Springville, was an honorable mention NAIA all-American and the Midwest Classic Conference Softball Player of the Year in 1995. She was a three-time all-conference performer, two-time all-district selection, and an all-region selection for the Mustangs.
Moss still holds school records for career on-base percentage (.470) and single-season on-base percentage (.556). She is also second on the career chart with 134 runs scored, third in batting average (.381), and fourth in total bases (212). Her 168 hits are seventh all-time.
Moss hit .453 as a senior, which is the second-best single-season average in school history. Her 61 hits that year are third on Mount Mercy's single-season list.
Kudumovic, a native of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, was an honorable mention NAIA all-American in 1999. He was also the Midwest Classic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Year and a first-team all-conference pick that season. During his career, Kudumovic was a two-time NAIA All-Region VII selection and garnered all-MCC honors all four years with the Mustangs.
On Mount Mercy's career chart, Kudumovic ranks fifth in assists (20), ninth in points (42), and 11th in goals scored (11). He had eight assists as a sophomore, which is fourth on the single-season list.
