Davenport man found guilty of sexually abusing a 7-year-old girl

CEDAR RAPIDS – A 25-year-Davenport man was found guilty Monday in Linn County District Court for sexually abusing a 7-year-0ld Hiawatha girl last year.
A jury found David Frazier guilty of second-degree sexual abuse and lascivious acts with a child after a week long trial. The jury started deliberations last Friday afternoon and reached a verdict about 1 p.m. Monday.
Frazier abused the child May 31, 2010, while he was staying at a friend's home, according to trial testimony. Frazier had babysat the child earlier in the evening.
Assistant Linn County Attorney Nic Scott said the victim, now 8, testified at trial, along with her parents.
