Robertson captures national title
Jori Robertson of the Iowa Gym-Nest won the Level 9 all around title recently at the Western National gymnastics championships in Idaho.
Robertson, of Iowa City, is a senior at West Branch High School.
Petrie wins twice for Kids First
OTTUMWA - Robert Petrie of Kids First Gymnastics won on the double mini trampoline and in tumbling at the recent USTA Iowa State Championships.
Jay Thomas Lauritsen also won in double mini trampoline for Kids First and Weston Koch won in trampoline.
Koch and Jared Lauritsen also placed second in double mini trampoline, the Lauritsens were second in trampoline and Zachary Sloan finished third, and Jay Thomas Lauritsen and Koch finished second and third, respectively, in tumbling.
All have qualified for the national meet, along with Liesel DeWalt, Jacob McCoid, Zachary Sloan, Jacob McCoid and Jaren Lauritsen.
Swisher's Wilson an AIM all-star
Grey Wilson of Swisher was named to the Amateur Trapshooting Association Pre-Sub All-Star Team.
The teams represent the best of the best AIM shooters, based off their 2013 target year performance. AIM All-Stars are the highest level of shooting recognition, followed by All-Zone, then All-State.
Wilson also was the 2013 AIM Iowa State Pre-Sub champion.
