Time to eat coon and turkey in Stone City

Iowans who crave the culinary delights of roast coon and turkey will have their annual chance this weekend in Stone City.
The Stone City Community Center will host its annual Coon & Turkey Roast for the 36th year beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13. Cost of the dinner is $8 for adults, $4 for children ages four to 12, and no charge for children threee and under.
Activities will include games, prizes, and an auction.
The event is an annual fundraiser for the nonprofit community center, located in a historic limestone schoolhouse off County Road X-28 by the Stone City curve.
