Nov. 6, 2013 10:06 am
The Linn County Conservation Department's 100-yard gun range will reopen Friday.
The Matsell Bridge Shooting Range, located 18 miles northeast of Marion, is an outdoor shooting range. The range offers a 50-yard pistol range and a newly remodeled 100-yard range.
The remodeled range features five vertical baffles and an eyebrow structure that limit open sky and increase safety.
With the remodeled range will come new range rules and a new permit system. Daily permits will be available for $10 a day, while annual permits can be purchased only for $40. Annual permits purchased this year will be good for the remainder of this year, as well as 2014.
