Stark stepping down as paddling group's leader

Gregg Stark will retire at the end of the month as leader of the Sticks in the Water paddlers group.
Stark, one of five founders of the group, said it's time for someone else, or a group of people, to take the helm.
Stark said he will continue to edit the regular electronic newsletter that is distributed to more than 300 canoe and kayak enthusiasts, mostly in Linn, Johnson and Jones counties.
Anyone interested in leading the informal organization is encouraged to send a brief email to sticksinthewater@yahoo.com
Besides stating their interest, the email should include the sender's phone number and mailing address.
