LINN COUNTY: Trail Clean Up Day Scheduled for November 6th

Linn County – The Linn County Trails Association is partnering with the City of Cedar Rapids on a trail clean up event on Saturday, November 6th, 2010, from 10:30AM-11:30AM.
Community volunteers are asked to arrive at one of four trail heads to clean up trash, debris, and litter along the trails. Trail head locations are: Cedar River Trail, Sokol Park; Cedar River Trail, McLeod Park; Cedar Lake Loop; and Cedar Valley Nature Trail, Boyson Rd.
A Linn County Trails Association Board Member will be present at the trail head locations to distribute gloves and bags, provided by the City of Cedar Rapids. Volunteers can work in teams to collect any garbage along the trails. Volunteers of all ages and skills are welcome to attend.
Volunteers are asked to report back to the trail head with their garbage bag upon completion. The City of Cedar Rapids will be collecting the bags following the clean-up.
