Camping Fees Go up in Benton County, Iowa

The Benton County Conservation Board on December 20, 2010 took action on camping rate increases for the 2011-2012 camping season. On January 17, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. the following rate increases will go into effect. Until that time the old rates for season passes will remain at $300/ year for those wanting to purchase their season pass before the increase becomes effective.
The following rates will apply on January 17
th
, 2011 at 8:00 a.m.
- Season Passes will Increase to $325/ year from the current rate of $300/year.
- Electricity for season passes holders will increase to $5/night from current rate of $4/night.
- River Park Electric Sites will increase to $13/night from current rate of $12/night.
- Rodgers Park/ Hannen Park Electric Sites will increase to $15/night from current rate of $14/night.
- Non-Electric Tent Sites will increase to $9/night from current rate of $8/night.
- Coupon Booklets will now be sold in a 14 day packet as opposed to a 10 day packet and the Lake Park Coupon packet will cost $195 and the River Park Packet will cost $169
