[gallery]Who lives for 8 months and migrates more than 2,000 miles? Why it's a monarch butterfly!! Join the Johnson County Conservation Board Naturalist, Brad Freidhof on September 11th at 3 p.m. at the Conservation Education Center at F.W. Kent Park as he explores the life cycle of these mysterious creatures and tags numerous butterflies for their southward journey. Participants will learn about the amazing life cycle of these little creatures and then assist in the capture and tagging of these marvelous insects. This project helps scientists learn about the migration of the butterfly as well as details of their lives.
All ages are encouraged to attend. This is a great family event!
