97 bags of litter collected from I-380

City workers collected 97 bags of litter from the I-380 corridor over the last week. The Cedar Rapids Solid Waste and Recycling Division committed the resources to make this special effort to clean the I-380 corridor before the holiday travel season and the onset of winter.
Litter can quickly build up on the I-380 corridor, making the main thoroughfare to our city an eyesore. The City of Cedar Rapids would like to remind private haulers that properly securing their loads is important for maintaining a clean city and required by law.
