Cedar Rapids city pools open for summer swimming

Bever, Ellis and Jones Pools, and Cherry Hill and Noelridge Aquatic Centers will open for summer season swimming on Friday, June 1 with lap swimming from 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. and open swimming beginning at 1:00 p.m. Daily schedules for the pools vary. Go to

Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Summer Swim Passes are on sale until July 1. Season passes provide admission to Water Exercise classes and Open, Family, Adult 50+ and daily Lap Swims as age appropriate. The passes are valid May 21, 2012, through September 3, 2012. An additional discount is available if you still have last year's passes. Go to
