Kann - Palmstein

Karen Marie Kann and Eric William Palmstein, both of Madison, WI, were married June 27, 2009, in an outdoor ceremony at the Cedar Rapids home of the brides parents, Marie and Dennis Kann. A family ceremony was also performed at the bedside of the brides father; it was especially meaningful to everyone that he was able to take part in the wedding. The services were performed by the Rev. Donnita Payne Hostetler, a chaplain with Hospice Compassus. Parents of the groom are Mary Jo and Frank Palmstein of West Bend, WI. The brides sister, Colleen, served as maid of honor and soloist. Also participating in the ceremony were the brides brothers, Denny and Kevin, and the grooms brothers, Frank, Brian, and Tim.

Karen, a graduate of the University of Iowa, is an elementary teacher in Madison. Eric, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, is employed by Epic Systems Corp in Verona, WI.

The couple honeymooned in the Canary Islands.
