ISU's Paulson shatters Iowa amateur mark

AMES - Iowa State golfer Kristin Paulson has shattered the scoring mark at the Iowa Women's Amateur tournament.

Paulson claimed her second straight Iowa amateur title Wednesday at the Sunnyside Country Club in Waterloo.

Paulson won in 14-under par and 202 total, breaking the tournament record for 54 holes by five strokes.

Paulson also shot a tournament record-low of 63 in the second round and won this year's event by 10 shots.
