Parking for Iowa City Duals

Nov. 19, 2013 8:30 pm
The University of Iowa wrestling team opens its home schedule with the Iowa City Duals on Friday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The Hawkeyes will face NCAA Division III program Cornell College, NJCAA power Iowa Central and NAIA's Baker (Kan.) University, beginning at 10 a.m.
Athletic Department officials said it encourages wrestling fans attending the dual to use bus service to the arena in a news release distributed Tuesday.
A shuttle will be running from Finkbine Golf Course, in addition to a UI Cambus that will run from the Hawkeye Commuter Lot. Both are free of charge. Additional parking within walking distance of the arena will be at the softball and outdoor track parking lots.
Parking near CHA will not be available due to regular event parking being reserved spots for permitted hospital staff, patients and visitors during the work day.

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Fans who plan on attending the Iowa City Duals on Friday, Nov. 22, are encouraged to use bus service to Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The UI Athletics Department will provide a shuttle from Finkbine Golf Course, and the UI Cambus will run its regular route from the Hawkeye Commuter Lot. There is no charge for either bus service.
Parking within walking distance is also available at the softball and outdoor track parking lots.
Surface lots and ramps near Carver-Hawkeye Arena will not be available for event parking. The Iowa City Duals are typically contested on a UI holiday or weekend, but this year's event is on a UI work day, meaning parking will be reserved for permitted hospital staff, patients and visitors.
The Hawkeyes compete in three duals Friday beginning at 10 a.m. (CT). All three duals will run continuously, so start times will vary.
