City to Observe Labor Day Holiday

The City of Cedar Rapids will observe the Labor Day holiday on Monday, September 5, 2011. Most City offices will be closed on that day. The following City services will continue to operate:

• Golf – All golf courses will be open, Administrative offices will be closed
• Fire Department – Responding to emergencies, Administrative offices will be closed
• Joint Communications Center – Responding to emergencies
• Parking – Parking meters will not be enforced, Parking ramps will be open, Parking Amenity Hotline available (319-365-7275), Administrative offices will be closed
• Police Department – Responding to emergencies
• Water Pollution Control

The Solid Waste & Recycling Division will not be collecting garbage, yard waste and recycling on September 5. Weekly collection routes will occur one day later that week.
