Linn-Mar’s Thrune, Wahlert’s Weber tie for low round at Hunters Ridge

CEDAR RAPIDS – Dubuque Wahlert compiled a team score of 326 Monday at Hunters Ridge to maintain its lead in the MVC Valley Division boys' golf tournament.
The Golden Eagles now have a total of 637 after shooting 311 at the MVC Super Meet in August.
Linn-Mar shot 328 Monday and now has a total of 641.
Wahlert senior Alec Weber and Linn-Mar senior Max Thrune tied for the low round of the day at 76. Linn-Mar's Jake Sevcik and Wahlert's Ben Schmidt each shot 78.
Iowa City West's J.D. Goodfellow leads the compiled standings at 148 after shooting 79 Monday.
The seven Valley Division teams meet again Sept. 28 at The Meadows in Dubuque.
