2 local golfers hit aces in same foursome

In a wonderful statistical oddity, two members of a foursome each hit a hole-in-one on Thursday afternoon at Amana Colonies Golf Course.
Mike Sandersfeld and John Zuber, both of Amana, each aced the 155-yard No. 8 with an 8-iron. Both were witnessed by Mark Schwarting and Rick Hergert.
According to the National Hole-in-One Registry, the odds of two people in the same foursome hitting an ace are 17 million to 1.
