HIGH SCHOOL JOURNALISM: City High takes third at MVC Mississippi

IOWA CITY - The City High girls golf team took third place at Monday's Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Divisional meet, shooting 377 at Pleasant Valley Golf Course.

City High took fourth place overall in the Mississippi division, shooting 765 over two meets.

Senior Rachel Stewart lead the team, shooting an 88 and receiving first-team all-conference. Junior Emily Koepnick earned second-team all-conference and senior Katherine van der Woude was selected as honorable mention.

Linn-Mar won the divisional meet, shooting 365 as a team on Monday, and also won the overall Mississippi division with a score of 727.
