Lindwall wins C.R. Rotary Pribyl golf tournament

CEDAR RAPIDS – Cedar Rapids Washington's Frank Lindwall led after all four rounds of the Rotary Pribyl Junior Boys Golf Tournament, capping the week Friday with an even-par 70 at Elmcrest to clinch the title.

Lindwall, a junior, finished the tournament with a score of 293, eight shots better than Xavier junior Matt Neumeyer. Jake Sevcik of Linn-Mar was third with a 306.

'I played pretty well, didn't putt great, unfortunately, but I was solid enough to keep it and get it done,' Lindwall said.

'It's a really fun tournament, a great way to end the summer.'
