Seven write-in votes were enough to land Chris Cook on the Walker City Council.
This morning's canvass of last week's election results by county supervisors also certified write-in candidate David Rassmussen's election to the council in Ely with 93 votes.
Tim Box, the county's deputy elections commissioner, said Ely voters cast 380 write-in votes to fill out the city council. The 99 write-ins in Walker "were scattered all over the board," Box said, with a few candidates getting 6 votes each.
No other contest changed as a result of today's canvass. Results for Cedar Rapids' municipal voting were certified last week, along with those in the State Senate District 18 race.
