League of Women Voters of Johnson County plans legislative forums

The League of Women Voters of Johnson County legislative forums will again be held in 2014.

The first will be Jan. 25 at the Iowa City City Council Chambers from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

The other forums, all beginning at 9:30 a.m., will be:

• Feb. 22 in the North Liberty City Council Chambers
• March 29 at the Coralville City Council Chambers
• May 3 at the Iowa City Public Library.

All the legislative forums will begin at 9:30 a.m.

Sens. Joe Bolkcom, Bob Dvorsky and Sandra Greiner, and Reps. Sally Stutsman, Bobby Kaufmann, Dave Jacoby, Vicki Lensing and Mary Mascher have been invited.

Legislators will be given five minutes to present summaries of critical issues before their respective chambers that are of particular interest to them. The remainder of the forum will be devoted to public comments and questions.
