Mayor to host City Council swearing-in ceremony Jan. 2

Mayor Ron Corbett will host a swearing-in ceremony for the newly-elected members of the Cedar Rapids City Council on Monday, January 2, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the council chambers, located on the third floor of the new City Hall at 101 1st Street SE. The Cedar Rapids City Council welcomes all residents to this special ceremony and reception. Doors will be open at 9:30 a.m.
The council will welcome Ann Poe as the new At Large representative, Scott Olson as the new District 4 representative and Monica Vernon back as the District 2 representative. Each newly-elected council member will serve a four year term.
