Hinterland 2018 lineup is here: Sturgill Simpson and Band of Horses head the bill

Grammy Award-winning country music and roots rock singer-songwriter Sturgill Simpson and South Carolina-based indie-rock band Band of Horses will headline the fourth annual Hinterland Music Festival, Aug. 3 to 4 at the Saints Amphitheater, 3357 Saint Charles Road, Saint Charles.
The festival south of Des Moines returns for it's fourth year with a lineup that also features Scottish synth-pop band CHVRCHES, Denver folk artist Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, classic Southern rockers Blackberry Smoke and up-and-coming country star Margo Price. R&B musician Anderson East, independent Melbourne busker turned singer-songwriter Tash Sultana, piano-driven roots rockers J Roddy Walston and The Business and country singers Tyler Childers and Joshua Hedley also will perform. Completing the lineup are Iowa acts The Nadas, celebrating their 25th anniversary, and R&B synth gaze group Ancient Posse.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Feb. 16 at hinterlandiowa.com.
General admission tickets are $105 for a two-day pass, VIP tickets are $259, and exclusive Saints passes are $599. Children under 12 will be admitted free with a paying adult.
VIP tickets include camping and parking in an exclusive area next to the festival grounds, VIP restrooms in the stage and camping areas, access to special viewing area, VIP bar, air-conditioned VIP lounge, five drink tickets, priority access to a Saturday morning Bloody Mary bar, appetizers and a festival T-shirt.
Saints passes include VIP perks plus free drinks during the festival, reserved parking spot, free access to a prime location camping area, access to an elevated platform with unobstructed stage views and seating on the Saints Deck by the front of house, limited edition signed screen-printed poster, organic locally-sourced meals in the Saints Lounge, early entry to festival grounds and skipping to the front of the line for the shuttle to Des Moines. VIP and Saints passes are 21+ only.
Camping will be available starting at $25, parking at $15 and up, and shuttles between the festival and Southridge Mall in Des Moines will be $10 for the weekend. Camping, shuttle and parking passes also go on sale Feb. 16.
