For generations who are considering getting older than they thought possible this story smashes stereotypes about aging and challenges us to live our later years in much more exuberant fashion.George has the possible distinction of being the oldest continuous institutional photographer still working today.
George Henry served as a WWII bomber pilot flying the B-24 "Liberator" on missions over Nazi held Europe. He has been the official photographer at Coe College, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for the past 68 years capturing the heart and soul of a campus and decades of students and faculty. He was a white water river guide for 45 years and took such notables as the Kennedy family, John Glenn, Andy Williams down the wild rivers of the west. For the past ten years he has been photographing wild black bears in the north woods of Minnesota.
