Xavier places 12th in national Economics Challenge

Xavier High School, as State Champion, represented Iowa in the National Semi-Finals of the Economics Challenge, finishing in 12
th
place nationally. The team combined members of Xavier's 1
st
and 2
nd
place state teams. Congratulations to seniors
Kerry McCartan (Captain), Zach Stovie, Mack Mattke and Joe Barnum! The coach is Economics teacher Mrs. Donna Winter. The team took a series of four tests, covering Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, International Trade, and Current Economic Topics.
