Mount Mercy University will offer an information session on its competitive new graduate program, Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy, on Tuesday, June 12 at 5:30 p.m. in Basile Hall's Flaherty Community Room.
Mount Mercy's program is designed for working adults and offers convenient evening weekday classes. The information session will include an overview of the program and a question and answer session with faculty and current students.
The only institution in Iowa to offer this dynamic degree, Mount Mercy's MFT program is grounded in the idea that individuals who seek psycho- therapeutic assistance are influenced by a complex set of factors. Today's therapists need to be fully equipped to understand these dynamic systems in order to effectively help individuals, couples and families live more productive lives.
Mount Mercy's research-based classes and quality practicum experiences ensure that students graduate with all the necessary skills to be an effective therapist or consultant in a variety of settings. After completion of postgraduate supervised hours, graduate students will be eligible for state licensure and a variety of career opportunities.

Mount Mercy is currently accepting applications for fall 2012 entry.
