Luther continued its strong season Saturday with a 76-62 victory in an Iowa Conference women's basketball game at the Regents Center in Decorah.
The 25th-ranked Norse (14-1, 4-0) got 18 points apiece from Megan Koepnick and Moran Lonning. Carrie Kilen and Solveig Nelson joined them in double figures with 12 and 10, respectively.
Coe shot well, making 25 of 47 shots for 53.2 percent, but didn't match Luther's volume. The Norse put up 70 shots and made 28 for 40 percent.
Mickey Hansche scored 16 points for Coe (10-5, 3-1), Aleena Hobbs 15 and Megan Mayes 12.
KIRKWOOD 76, IOWA LAKES 51
- Kirkwood raced to a 33-15 halftime lead and coasted to its 11th straight victory at Johnson Hall in Cedar Rapids.
The fourth-ranked Eagles (15-4, 3-0 ICCAC) were led by Anna Martinson's double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds. Cassidy Clark added 12 points, Tyra Polite 10.
MOUNT MERCY 74, WILLIAM PENN 68
- Christa Oldham scored 24 points to pace Mount Mercy (10-11, 1-2) in a Midwest Collegiate Conference game at Oskaloosa.
Alisa Weiland added 14 points, and Makenzie Zeitler corralled 10 rebounds as the Mustangs rallied from a 37-28 halftime deficit.
UPPER IOWA 74, MARY 60
- Lauren Buck bullied her way to 26 points and 15 rebounds Saturday at Dorman Gymnasium in Fayette. The 5-foot-11 junior from Anamosa also had five steals.
Lindsay Carroll had 19 points, Olivia Winkler added 12 points, and Olivia Meier 10 points for Upper Iowa (5-11, 3-9 NSIC).
Hannah Larson had 28 points for Mary (7-11, 5-7).
