You can legally bet this (in Las Vegas): Iowa is a 5-point favorite over Iowa State at the Golden Nugget.

Jun. 11, 2012 12:24 pm
The Golden Nugget casino in downtown Las Vegas always has the first sports book to post early-summer linse on college football games.
Monday morning, the Nugget posted 111 lines for games in the 2012 season. It calls them the Games of the Year. The early lines get the casino some publicity, and betting action from sports fans (including a lot on the first day the numbers are posted) during the slow sports-wagering months of June, July and August.
From an Iowa perspective, here's the shocker: Only one game involving the Hawkeyes is among the 111. That is Iowa being a 5-point home-favorite over Iowa State on Sept. 8.
No Iowa-Michigan State, no Iowa-Michigan, no Nebraska-Iowa.
However, there are lines for six Michigan State games, as well as five involving Michigan, Nebraska and Ohio State, and three from Wisconsin.
Eleven of USC's games are posted, but that's got to do with geography more than anything else. Southern Californians pour into Vegas en masse every weekend.
By the way, Michigan State is a 6-point home-favorite over Boise State on Friday, Aug. 31. Hlastradamus heard that Monday morning and interrupted his summer vacation in Mystic, Conn., to declare the Spartans the proper pick in that particular pigskin passion play.
