INDIANAPOLIS -- I went to a New York Giants' Super Bowl media gathering to interview Iowa's Tyler Sash. He was at a ballroom table with fellow defensive back and special teams player Derrick Martin, a five-year veteran from Wyoming.
No one came to talk to Martin. He clearly wanted to talk to the media, any media. Which instantly endeared him to me.
Martin waited for me to get done interviewing Sash, then volunteered his own thoughts on the rookie from Oskaloosa. Here they are:
