Paramount Theatre Restoration Project gets recognition

NEW HIRES
The Grant Wood Area Education Agency has hired Brian Williams (see photo) and Shane Boeve (see photo) as regional administrators. Williams, formerly with Gladbrook-Reinbeck Schools, will serve in Coralville and oversee programs and services for Williamsburg, English Valleys, Mid-Prairie and Clear Creek Amana schools. Boeve, formerly with the Harrisburg School District, will serve in Cedar Rapids and oversee programs for Center Point-Urbana, North-Linn, Central City and Alburnett schools.
Caitlin Slessor (see photo), formerly in general practice, has joined the firm of Shuttleworth & Ingersoll, Cedar Rapids, and will practice family law.
CEC in Hiawatha has added several employees to new IT positions: Brian Bayeur, formerly with OneNeck, as director of IT; Brian Wells, formerly with Networking Services Inc., as IT operations lead; Shannon Bowen, formerly with McGladrey, as IT engineering manager; and Kevin Coe, formerly with IP Pathways, as senior infrastructure engineer.
Destinations Unlimited/Travel Leaders, Cedar Rapids, has hired Kathy Leesekamp (see photo) as group travel coordinator, and Daniel Gladish (see photo) as corporate sales manager.
BOARD MEMBERS
The board of directors of BankIowa, Cedar Rapids, has named Rob Robinson (see photo) as vice chairman, in addition to his current roles as chief executive officer and president.
The board of directors of Dupaco Community Credit Union, with offices in Cedar Rapids, appointed Andy Schroeder (see photo) of Clarke University in Dubuque to fill the unexpired term of Keith Langan (see photo), who is retiring after nearly 18 years of service.
KUDOS
Lindsey Davenport-Laundry, supervisor of hematology and transfusion services at Iowa City VA Health Care System, has been inducted into the Alpha Mu Tau Fraternity of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science.
West Music Co., Coralville, has received two national awards - a Top 100 Dealer award by the National Association of Music Merchants and Steinway Dealer of the Year award.
Cedar Rapids' Paramount Theatre Restoration Project was named 2014 Public Works Project of the Year by the American Public Works Association.
Timothy Thomason, formerly of Cedar Rapids, has been appointed to the Maricopa County, Ariz., Superior Court. Thomason has been a partner with the law firm Dickinson Wright in Phoenix.
