Iowa's Lickliter released from hospital today
Dec. 8, 2009 3:26 pm
Iowa Coach Todd Lickliter was released from University of Iowa Hospitals on Tuesday morning, three days after undergoing surgery to relieve pains caused from headaches.
Iowa Assistant Sports Information Director Matt Weitzel said Lickliter is home resting and did not accompany the team to Cedar Falls, where it plays Northern Iowa tonight.
If he feels up to it, Lickliter will call the pre-game radio show hosted by Gary Dolphin and Bobby Hansen. Assistant coach Chad Walthall will fill in for Lickliter tonight.
Tonight's game is televised on KWWL's 7.3 digital channel (KWWL's regular channel is airing "The Biggest Loser). Mediacom Connections also is airing the game.
