Marion crash seriously injures 16-year-old

MARION - A crash Thursday morning sent one person to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Police responded around 10:10 a.m. for a report of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of East Robins Road and Alburnett Road.
Officers arrived to find a truck owned by Actually Clean on its side blocking the northbound lanes of Alburnett Road. The second vehicle, a Dodge Caliber, was on its side in the east ditch.
Those inside the truck suffered minor injuries and were released at the scene. The driver of the Dodge, a 16-year-old from Cedar Rapids, was taken by ambulance to UIHC for treatment of serious injuries, according to a release from the Marion Police Department.
The crash remains under investigation and authorities said charges are pending.
