Man struck along Interstate 380 in good condition

A Cedar Rapids man is in good condition today after being struck while attempted to help someone along Interstate 380 over the weekend.
The Iowa State Patrol said Joseph Christensen, 43, was southbound on I-380 near North Liberty just before 4:30 p.m. Saturday when he pulled over to help someone in another vehicle in the northbound lane.
Troopers say when Christensen ran across the interstate to help the person, he was struck by a car driven by Brandy Clemons, 28, of Cedar Rapids.
Christensen was taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, where remained in good condition Monday.
