After Saturday temperatures reached up to 96 degrees in Cedar Rapids, the National Weather Service predicts yet another unseasonably hot day on Memorial Day.
The forecast predicts temperatures could reach 95 degrees.
Cedar Rapids will not much luck with breezes either. The NWS also predicts a 'calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph in the morning,” but does not mention breeze throughout the day.
It's a good thing the Cedar Rapids splash pads at Cedar Valley Park, Daniels Park, Hidder Park, Jacolyn Park, Noelridge Park, Redmond Park, Time Check Park and Twin Pines Park have opened early.
Tonight the heat will subside as isolated thunderstorms will affect parts of Iowa including Linn and Johnson counties.
