Iowa soccer tops Nebraska-Omaha

IOWA CITY – The Iowa soccer team rolled to a 4-0 victory against Nebraska-Omaha on Sunday to complete the season-opening weekend unscathed.
The Hawkeyes shut out Pacific, 1-0, on Friday.
Iowa scored three goals in the last 10 minutes Sunday to run away with the victory.
Anna Magruder scored twice, both on assists from Bri Toelle. Her first in the 81st minute put Iowa up 2-0, then she headed in a cross from Abbey Toureene in the 87th minute to complete the scoring.
That came just 29 seconds after Karly Stuenkel made it 3-0, also on an assist from Toelle.
Jenna Kentgen gave Iowa a 1-0 halftime lead by knocking in a corner kick from Rachele Armand in the 34th minute.
Hannah Clark recorded her second shutout of the season, needing to make just two saves. The Hawkeyes out-shot Omaha 21-6.
Iowa hosts South Dakota State at 7 p.m. Friday.
