We're at Eby Fieldhouse for the Cornell vs. Coe dual. It's senior night so it's a special night, and is the regular-season finale for both teams. They will compete at the Iowa Conference tournament Friday, Feb. 25 at Simpson in Indianola.
Coe is 15-5. Cornell is 14-7-1. Both are 6-1 in the IIAC so the winner will take sole possession of second behind Wartburg, who was 8-0 against conference foes.

The dual begiuns at 125 with Coe's defending national champion Clayton Rush vs. #9 Tim Hood. Rush is hammering Hood with three takedowns in the first period to lead 6-2 as it closes. Rush adds a couple more takedowns and some nearfall points and leads 19-5 after two. Hood rides Rush the full third period and Rush wins 19-5. Coe up 4-0.
At 133, Cornell's Tigue Snider vs. Drew Hinschberger of Coe. Scoreless first. Snider starts second on bottom. Snider with E1 and then gets a quick T2 for 3-0 lead. Hinschberger with E1. 3-1 after second. Snider rides out Hinschberger for 4-1 win. 4-3 Coe after two.
One of the better match=ups tonight. Cornell two-time All-American Kevin Donahue vs. Coe's Chris LeClere at 141. Both are battling in first but no score with 30 seconds left in opening period. It remained scoreless after one with leClere starting in down position. LeClere E1 26 seconds in 2nd period for 1-0 lead. That's how the second period ends and a little blood time before Donahue chooses down for third. LeClere is riding hard. They go out of bounds with 45 seconds to go. LeClere is 13 seconds away from riding time. LClere called for stalling hanging onto leg as Donahue was trying to kick free for E1. LeClere has riding time before Donahue gets his E1 to tie it 1-1 with 20 seconds to go. Donahue gets T2 in last two seconds for 3-2 win. Cornell up, 6-4.
At 149, Cornell's jacob Schwebke vs. Coe's James Locke. After a scoreless first, Locke takes 2-0 lead after a nice counter to Schwebke's low-single. Locke with E1 for 3-0 lead with 1:40 to go. Schwebke cuts the lead to 3-2 with T2 in final minute, but Locke answers with R2 for 5-2 lead. Locke adds RT for 6-2 win and Coe leads 7-6.
At 157, Cornell's Cody Backhaus vs. Coe freshman Dmirti Boyer. Boyer scores opening takedown for 2-0 and rides Backhaus out, nearly turning him twice. Boyer with E1 and a T2, spinning around behind Backhaus. Boyer with fall over backhaus.
At 165, Cornell's Joe hambleton vs. Coe's #3 Nick LeClere. LeClere scores two takedowns for 4-1 lead after the first. Hambleton with R2 to start second, but LeClere answers with a R2. hambleton has an injury to the "man area" and LeClere leads 6-3 with 1:23 to go in second. Hambleton with E1. 6-4 LeClere. LeClere adds E1 to open third. He's up 7-4. LeClere adds a T2, P1 for stalling and RT1 for 11-4 win and puts Coe up 16-6.
At 174, Cornell's Derek Munsey vs. Coe's Scott King. King with three takedowns in the first, including last one in final seconds to go up 6-2. King with E1 sandwiching a Munsey T2. King up 8-4 with 50 seconds to go and King has 1:08 of RT. Munsey with T2 and cuts lead to 8-6. King with E1, but King catches him in a cradle for T2 and NF3 at end of period. 14-6 after two. Munsey with T2. 14-8 and King called for stalling. King with T2 on edge of the mat for 17-8 lead. 50 secs to go.
At 184, Andrew Roberts of Cornell vs. Coe All-American Seth Rehn. Sorry, trying to catch up on my stats. Rehn has controlled the entire match with two takedowns in the first and one each in the second and third and has 8-3 lead with 45 seconds to go. rehn wins 9-3 after RT. Coe leads 23-6.
At 197, Cornell's Alex Coolidge vs. Coe's Ethan Ball. Coolidge with first T2 but Ball gets an E1 quickly. Coolidge up 2-1 in first. Coolidge leads 2-1 after first. Starting neutral for second. Coolidge E1 to open third. He leads 3-1. Coolidge wins, 3-1. Coe leads 23-9 with Hwt. left.
Cornell's Wyatt Bauman vs. Coe's fifth-ranked Alex Burkle. Burkle with two nice takedowns in the first. One on a counter the other on his own single. Burkle leads 4-1 after first. Burkle with reversal before turn Bauman and getting fall in 4:49. Coe wins, 29-9.
