[Women's Soccer] Mustangs fall behind early in loss at Dordt

Dordt's Rindy De Nooy scored twice in the game's first 29 minutes and Kelly Smeis added another goal in the 44th minute to give the Crusaders a 3-0 lead at halftime. They added a fourth score in the 52nd minute before freshman forward Ameliea Parris got Mount Mercy (1-2-0) on the board with her second goal of the season.
Katie Kortman saved four shots on goal for the Crusaders (1-0-0). Sophomore goalkeeper Jerica Christensen made four saves in 70 minutes for the Mustangs. Freshman keeper made her debut in goal, saving two shots while not allowing a goal in the final 20 minutes.
Mount Mercy hosts St. Francis (Ill.) on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at Lower Kingston Field.
