[Women's Golf] Goodfellow, Mustangs get first wins of the season

MARION, Iowa -- Freshman Madison Goodfellow picked up her first collegiate win, leading Mount Mercy to the team title at their own Mustang Four Ball Classic over the weekend at Hunters Ridge Golf Course.

Rounds of 85 and 86 gave Goodfellow medalist honors with a 171 total for the two-day event. Brittany Carr of Augustana (Ill.) "A" finished one stroke back at 172. Junior Bailee Goodfellow (91-82=173), senior Laura Wilberg (86-88=174) was fifth, senior Kristine Kouba (91-94=185) tied for seventh and sophomore Anna Bachman (110-86=196) finished 11th.

Mount Mercy finished four strokes in front of Augustana "A" in the team standings. Augustana "B" was third. The Mustangs compete at the Grinnell Invitational on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Grinnell Country Club, then move on to Thunder Hills Country Club in Peosta for the Clarke Invitational on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
