[Women's Golf] Mustangs are 15th at Wartburg

WAVERLY, Iowa -- Mount Mercy took on a solid field at the Wartburg Invitational over the weekend, finishing 15th at Centennial Oaks Golf Course.
Freshman Madison Goodfellow was Mount Mercy's top scorer for the second straight meet, shooting a pair of 85s to tie for 37th with a 170 total. Junior Bailee Goodfellow tied for 40th after rounds of 86 and 85 for a 171 total. Sophomore Anna Bachman (94-94=188) tied for 73rd, senior Kristine Kouba (94-98=192) tied for 82nd and sophomore Kelsey Kernan (102-96=198) tied for 87th.
Host Wartburg recorded a two-stroke victory over St. Olaf, 629-631. Carleton was third in the team standings, followed by Viterbo (Wis.) and Wisconsin-Stout in fourth at 647. Kelsi Sawatzky of Wartburg took medalist honors with a 6-over-par 150 total that included rounds of 76 and 74.
The Mustangs will be in action again this weekend, traveling to Normal, Ill., for the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational at Ironwood Golf Course. Tee times begin at 9:00 a.m. each day.
