WILLIAM PENN 98, MOUNT MERCY 68
William Penn transformed a two-point halftime lead into a 30-point win. The Statesmen scored 58 points in the final 20 minutes. William Penn managed to shoot 48 percent from the field in the second half, compared to 26 percent for Mount Mercy.
Chad Underwood (16) joined Lamar Wall (12) as the only players in double figures for the Mustangs. William Penn boasted five players eclipsing 10 points. Brandon Beasley and Keith Steffleck each recorded double-doubles. Beasley tallied 28 points and 15 rebounds. Steffleck finished with 20 and 11.
LAWRENCE 97, CORNELL 90
In a battle of trios, Lawrence got the upper hand. Tyler Mazur, Chris Seibert and Ryan Depouw accounted for 70 of the Vikings' 97 points. For Cornell, Joey Guth, Nick Bobb and Reggie Greenwood tallied 62 of their team's 90.
Guth led the way with 22. Both Mazur with 30 and Seibert with 25 topped Guth.
