McKowen named Upper Iowa coach

FAYETTE - Former Wapsie Vallley prep and UNI men's basketball standout Brooks McKowen will be introduced as the new Upper Iowa men's basketball coach at a news conference Tuesday.
The Upper Iowa Athletics Department will hold a news conference at 10:30 a.m. inside the Upper Iowa Student Center.
McKowen will be the 18th head men's basketball coach in the program's 98-year history. He spent the last two years at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, Minn.
