Brief Blog Pause

May. 20, 2010 12:01 am
I'm going to be out of the office today. So the blog is on pause.
Meanwhile, The Des Moines Register is sponsoring the final debate between the three Republicans running for governor. It's at high noon, and you can watch it live at the DMR site or IPTV's page. It's also being televised live on IPTV"s World digital TV channel and will be rebroadcast on standard IPTV at 7 p.m.
I'll have to catch up on it later. It's Bob Vander Plaats' and Rod Roberts' last chance to land gloves on Terry Branstad, so it could be interesting. The campaign finance numbers released this week show Branstad with a massive advantage in the final weeks.
I'll be watching to see if Branstad can stay calm when attacked. He got pretty testy during exchanges with Vander Plaats at the last forum in CR.
Have a fine day.
