[Women's Basketball] Four Mustangs grab league awards

MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa -- Once again, Mount Mercy senior guards Emily Greiner and Micha Mims garnered first-team all-Midwest Collegiate Conference awards and sophomore forward Amanda Frost and senior guard Laura Lippert were honorable mention all-MCC by a vote of league coaches.

Greiner and Mims were first-team selection for the second year in a row. Greiner was third in the league in scoring at 18.6 points per game and ranks third in the nation with 95 3-point field goals, which is also a school record. She also averages 3.3 rebounds per outing with a team-high 57 steals. Greiner is shooting 38.2 percent from 3-point range and 83.6 percent from the free throw line.

Mims is Mount Mercy's second-leading scorer and rebounder at 14.3 points and 4.8 boards per contest. She leads the team in assists (86) and free throw percentage (83.7%) and is second in steals (56) while shooting 39.7 percent from beyond the arc. Her 75 treys are sixth on Mount Mercy's single-season chart.

Frost is Mount Mercy's leading rebounder at 6.5 per game and is third on the team in scoring with 11.1 points per outing. She was fourth in the MCC in field goal percentage (49.4%) and is shooting 78.6 percent from the foul line.

Lippert is having her best season as a Mustang, scoring 9.4 points and grabbing 4.1 boards per game. She has knocked down a career-high 32 3-pointers and is second on the team with 23 blocked shots.
