ISU reserve DB charged with theft
Feb. 8, 2012 1:48 pm
Iowa State reserve defensive back Matt Thomas has been charged with fourth-degree theft, according to Story County Jail online records.
Thomas, a redshirt freshman from Lancaster, Texas, didn't record a statistic last season after redshirting in 2010.
The 5-9, 168-pound cornerback has been suspended indefinitely from the football team, ISU sports information director Tom Kroeschell said in an e-mail Wednesday.
Thomas was a Rivals.com two-star recruit out of high school.
Fourth-degree theft is a serious misdemeanor.
