Big Ten releases women’s basketball matchups

IOWA CITY — The 2017-18 Big Ten women's basketball schedule figures to be both attractive and favorable for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
The Hawkeyes (20-14 overall, 8-8 Big Ten last season) will play three border rivals twice — Minnesota, Nebraska and Wisconsin. They'll play each of the projected contenders just once — Michigan and Ohio State at home, Maryland away.
Iowa finished in an eighth-place tie in the league last season and has played in two straight WNITs.
Dates and times have not yet been determined.
Iowa's league assignments:
HOME — Indiana, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue.
AWAY — Illinois, Maryland, Michigan State, Northwestern, Rutgers.
HOME/AWAY — Minnesota, Nebraska, Wisconsin.
