If your time slot reveals who you are in college football, Iowa in 2011 is ...

Don't make me say finish filling out that headline.
When six of your 12 time slots have already been determined by television for a college football season and five of them are at 11 a.m., you aren't this year's version of America's Team.
Iowa's games against Tennessee Tech, Iowa State, Pittsburgh, Indiana and Nebraska are all 11 a.m. kickoffs. The home game against Northwestern is at 6 p.m., on the Big Ten Network.
Of the games yet to be slotted, Iowa plays Louisiana-Monroe, Michigan and Michigan State at home, Penn State, Minnesota and Purdue on the road.
You'd assume La.-Monroe would be an 11 a.m. start, but here are some 2:30 Big Ten Network kickoffs in the first three weeks of the season:
Arkansas State at Illinois
Eastern Illinois at Northwestern
New Mexico State at Minnesota
Miami, Ohio at Minnesota
South Carolina State at Indiana
I figure Iowa-Penn State is a near-lock at 2:30. Likewise, Michigan-Iowa. MSU-Iowa is a coin-flip between 11 and 2:30 depending on how those two teams have played up to their Nov. 12 meeting. That's the week after Michigan-Iowa.
The games at Minnesota and Purdue? Those have a lot more 11 a.m. potential than 2:30, no matter how good the Hawkeyes may be.
So you're probably looking at seven, maybe even eight or nine 11 a.m. starts for Iowa. If it's any consolation, the Hawkeyes can still win the Big Ten title despite a lack of high-profile starting times.
I've heard a lot of U2 songs. Not this one.
