Walmart has begun an extensive renovation of its store at 3601 29th Ave. SW.
The renovations will result in wider aisles, brighter interior colors, improved lighting and signs to help shoppers locate the items they need. It will also replace existing shelving with lower profile shelving.
Work on the renovations began on Sunday, April 17. The store will remain open during the entire process. Completion is slated for June.
“We listened to our customers and are redesigning the store to make shopping at Walmart even easier,” store Manager Eric McKenna said.
Most of the construction and moving will be completed during the nighttime hours to make shopping easier for customers.
