Ag secretary candidate to visit Marion

Francis Thicke, Democratic candidate for Iowa Secretary of Agriculture, will visit Marion June 30 to promote his book, “A New Vision for Food and Agriculture.”
Thicke, a Fairfield farmer, said writing a book seemed to be the best way to put the issues he's running on before the public. He'll use the book tour to explain the challenges Iowa agriculture faces and the innovations needed to meet those challenges.
His 34-city tour includes a stop at 6:30 p.m., June 30 the Linn County Democratic Party headquarters, at 1127 7
