Boswell given seat on Armed Services Committee

WASHINGTON – The House Democratic Caucus approved the request of 3rd District Rep. Leonard Boswell to serve on the House Armed Services Committee, filling a lengthy vacancy.
Boswell, who spent 20 years in the military, said he wants to work on legislation to support troops and "improve the lives of our men and women in uniform."
Boswell's position on the Armed Services Committee is temporary through the end of the 111
th
Congress. He will keep his seats on the Committee on Agriculture and Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
